Berry had been sidelined with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

It had been reported last week that Berry “almost certainly” will get on the field heading into Week 13, though it is unlikely he will suit up for the team’s AFC West showdown with the Oakland Raiders this weekend.

Berry was initially hurt in the team’s season-opening win over the New England Patriots and has remained sidelined since.

Berry, who turns 30 next month, has been rocked by injuries in recent seasons but has still managed to earn five Pro Bowl and three All-Pro selections in his nine-year career.

The Chiefs dropped to 9-2 with their loss to the Los Angeles Rams in a historic offensive showdown last Monday, but should have no trouble getting back on track when they visit the 2-8 Raiders in Week 13.
